Are You A Productive Blogger?

Are you being a productive blogger?
It’s almost been about 15 days for my blog around 2 weeks. I’ve been trying to be more productive lately and luckily I came across a great article titled “Productive and Non-Productive Tasks for Growing Your Blog“. I’ve included some great points on the article. Also think about visiting their blog he’s got a great blog.
Being a webmaster can be a tough job. There is a lot to do and you want to be as productive as you can. You don’t really have a boss or work with anyone else, so there is no one who decides what you should or shouldn’t do. It’s only yourself, you have to worry about.
I’d say by far the most important part of everything is driving traffic to your website. The second to that is content. Your content is what keeps a visitor on your page.
Important Productive Blogger Tasks
-
Writing Quality Posts
- Always write good posts. I think this is the most important part of any blog. People won’t visit your blog if you don’t write quality posts.
-
Writing Quality Guest Posts
- I haven’t started writing guest posts yet. Although, this is a great idea and you can receive a great amount of RSS subscribers.
-
Improving Your Skills
- Time needs to be spent daily to improve all your internet skills. As time goes on new technology will be introduced. It’s our jobs as bloggers and entrepreneurs to keep up with these trends.
-
Social Networking
- Using facebook and myspace and other social networking websites to keep in touch with other bloggers and entrepreneurs in our area.
-
Commenting on Blogs
- It helps to comment on blogs so you can develop a relationship with all the bloggers. You can meet bloggers at conventions and different parts of the world.
-
Social Bookmarking
- StumbleUpon, Digg and other social bookmarking websites are great to get backlinks and get your name out there. Each one has their own set of users whom you can get to your website.
-
Email, Instant Messenger & Twitter
- Be available to all your bloggers, leave a contact form or instant messenger info for people to contact you. I haven’t tried twitter just yet, but I’ve been hearing it’s a very powerful way to get many visitors to your blog.
-
Replying to Reader Comments
- Reply to blog posts that inspire or teach you something. If it helped you, it’s probably going to be beneficial for someone else.
-
Checking Statistics
- Check your stats with Google Analytics and watch how your traffic builds up.
-
Monetizing Your Blog
- Monetize for your blog, try and test different methods.
-
Learning SEO
- Learn SEO, so you can start ranking your new blog on the search engines.
In reality, it’s not too difficult. You should just be working towards growing your blog on a daily basis. As times goes, try and spend less time everyday but accomplishing all the same tasks.
There are many big and top bloggers. You can become one too! Just takes time daily and a dedication to put yourself out there.
