I recommend NameCheap for your domain name registrations. You can get your domain names pointed to your web host as soon as you buy them compared to godaddy.com or 1and1.com, you have to wait 24-48 hours for your DNS name servers to switch over.
2. Change DNS Name Servers
You simply login to your domain registrar and click on your domain to edit the DNS name servers. You can’t change your DNS name servers until you choose a Web Host.
3. Choose a Web Host
I’d recommend my own web hosting company Simplistic Host. If you want to go with a corporate hosting company, I’d recommend HostGator.com and BlueHost.com.
4. Creating Your Website
I would highly recommended using WordPress for yourfirst website as it’s one of the most simplest ways to create a website. You can simply install WordPress using Fantastico.
5. Getting Your Website Noticed
Promoting your website is by far the hardest part of having a popular website. You will be spending most of your time working on this section.
