What is a Proxy Site?
A proxy website allows somebody to view other websites even if they are blocked on their own internet connection. It’s a great way to make an extra income online.
There are many great ways to advertise a proxy network. One of the most difficult parts is finding a great host that will accept your proxy sites. They tend to take up more resources than a regular blog or website.
The way you make money on a proxy website is by placing google AdSense on your page. It’s the most simple part of it.
MySpace, Facebook and Friendster and all other social networks definitely use these proxy unblock pages so they can go on their social network accounts.
Some schools don’t allow the kids to log on to these friend networks. Not only schools block these sites but also certain businesses will block it so their employees are working more productively.
I will be creating my own proxy and report to everyone how well or bad my proxy site is doing as for revenue.
I’m thinking if a domain.com can make me over $10/year it’s well worth it to buy a domain name.
How much does it cost to setup a proxy website?
A proxy website is a very cheap website and shouldn’t cost you a whole lot. These are the things that I think are necessary for your business.
1. Find a great free proxy script
There are many free proxy scripts you can simply install on your web page. I would highly recommend SourceForge.net: PHP Web Proxy and zelune; Worlds Fastest Proxy Script. Both scripts are great, free and easy to use.

2. Find a web host
You want to ask first and find out if it’s ok to run a proxy website on their webhost. Some webhosts may not like it and may close your account. It’s a hassle to move things from server to server. So find a web host that accepts it from the start.
COST = $10/month
3. Register a domain name
I would highly recommend going to NameCheap.com to order a domain it’s less than $7 a year, I think. Don’t forget you will need to point your DNS name servers to your web host so your site is working properly.
COST = $9/year
4. Upload script and make changes
Upload your files and edit or change the template to make it to your liking. You also may want to add AdSense ads close to the area where they put in the URL.
