I want to discuss a few things about creating a proxy site. I’m going to focus on creating a few different ones this month. I’m listing all the tips I find on proxy sites on how to create a successful proxy site.

To show how much you can make from proxy sites. I’ve included this quote from a forum post.

In the past few months I’ve ran more than twenty proxy sites. Each proxy made at least $10 a day and a few of them were making around $100 per day using AdSense. I have recently decided to quit proxies and move on to real websites.

That’s a great source of income. 20 sites at $10 a day is $200/day and even some proxy’s can make upwards to $100 day. AWESOME! Great money.

Proxy Servers & Web Hosting

Web hosting is one of the most important aspects of creating a proxy website. You can’t run a proxy website on a regular web host because it uses a great deal of resources and bandwidth.

If you plan on creating more than one proxy website you should consider getting VPS Web Hosting or a Dedicated Server. VPS hosting will cost $30 – $50 per month. A dedicated server will cost you $100-$300 per month.

Getting Traffic To Your Proxy Site

A good way to get traffic is through topsites and submitting your proxy to proxy directories. However, the best source of traffic just like adsense is the Google Search Engine.

I would spend most of my time ranking for proxy search terms that many people will use.

Such examples are myspace blocker, proxy site, etc. I’d focus on long-tail and then focus on short-tail after you get some long-tails in.

Optimizing Your Proxy Site

To get your proxy site on the google search engines you will need to do a little seo on-page optimization. For each keyword you are looking to rank for make a special page for that keyword.

Making Money From Your Proxy Site

The most common way to make money is by palcing google adsense on your frontpage of your proxy site. A proxy site will get htousands of unique visitors daily so  this means tons of clicks on your adsense ads.

You cannot place adsense on proxified pages or pages that visitors are surfing on your proxy website. However, you can place Adversal ads on your proxified pages this can make a decent amount of money for you also.

I’d also recommend checking out to see if there are any proxy forums and/or proxy webmaster forums.

• Ad spot on 2000 uunique visitors proxy site for $40-50 per month.
• Selling your proxy site. You can sell for 6 times monthly revenue.
