My Few Ways To Make Money Online

I know of a few different methods of making money online. I’ve listed all them below. Some of these ideas, I’m also implementing myself so stay tuned and I will release my blog earnings on my websites and such.

In this post, I’m going to mention a few methods of making money online that I know of and explain a little about how you can make money with it. I think these are good and consistent streams of income that you can run from home.

1) Make Money Blogging
2) Web Hosting Business
3) PPC Affiliate Marketing

1) Make Money Blogging

This business idea has been around for 5-10 years and have been really good in the past also now is still good. You must post frequently and work on it on a daily basis for it to work.

Make money blogging is one of most common methods of making money online. You can blog pretty much about anything. It’s needed you should post on a daily basis.

The Process: Along the way, you’ll have to learn a lot of new things such as: Purchasing Domain Names, Finding a Web Host, Setting Up Your WordPress Blog, Getting Traffic To Your Blog, Monetizing or Making Money from your blog.

I will talk and explain more about making money blogging. This blog is also a real case study if you can make money blogging.

I started this blog in January of 2009. Watch and see if I can make some money through blogging. I’m hoping I can be inspiration/motivation to others to start their own businesses. I’ve wanted to do this for a while but have postponed it for like 2-4 years. Sometimes in life, You just have to Do It. You can write a blog on many different subjects also called niches.

Such subjects you could blog about:

Pregnancy – Talk about your new baby and offer tips & suggestions.
Finance – Talk about your families finance and offer tips & suggestions.
College Student – Talk about your college life and/or getting a degree in so and so.
Hobbies – Talk about certain hobbies in your life such as cooking or recipes.
and Much Much More. (think about what your good at and it’s best to work on a blog around that)

2) Web Hosting Business

This business idea has been around for about 5-10 years and have been really good in the past and still could be good if you worked on it from an angle.

Make money by creating a web hosting business is another method of making money online that would probably be a little harder because you would have to manage clients.

The Process: You would have to learn as much as you would learning how to make money blogging. Although, there are additional things you must learn as a web hosting owner. You will need to learn your way around working on a web server, using the control panels and being able to get anything and everything done if needed. You can’t get stuck and leave your customers hanging.

I will also explain more about this in my blog. I am also in the process of creating my own web hosting company. It’s pretty simple. You need to lease/rent a dedicated server from a reputable web hosting company and resell segments of your server to other people.

A decent dedicated server will cost you about $100 a month with 1600 GB bandwidth. You could simply offer 50GB bandwidth packages with unlimited domains for like $15 a month.

You would calculate 1600GB divided by 50GB = 32 x $15/mo = $480 from a server in a month while only spending $100 that’s a profit of $380 a server. Your users most likely won’t use a full 50 GB so you could have 15-50 more clients on that same server. Let’s say, you add 15 more clients at $15/mo = $225 more a month.

So, you would have (32+15) 47 clients at $15/mo which would equal $705 a month or with (32+50) 82 clients at $15/mo would equal $1230 a month.

Profits of ONE Dedicated Server
w/ a server cost of $100 a month

47 Clients at $15/mo = $705 (Server Cost= $-100)
TOTAL PROFIT = $605 (705-100)

82 Clients at $15/mo = $1,230 (Server Cost= $-100)
TOTAL PROFIT = $1,130 (1,230-100)

That’s a decent amount of money on a monthly basis. If you could also get an additional 20 customers a month.

In ONE year that’s 240 clients or $3,600 a month. In TWO years that’s 480 clients or $7,200 a month. This is all residual income.

Imagine one server with profit of $605/mo. Five equals $3,025 – Ten equals $6,050 – Twenty equals $12,100 and 40 would be $24,200 monthly.

That’s a good business in my eyes. You can work from home hire a few people over the internet. You must be willing to put in the work and time to learn and know exactly what you are doing though and provide a quality service to your customers.

3) PPC Affiliate Marketing

PPC Affiliate Marketing has been popular for the last 3-5 years. It has been popular from the start but just recently in 2008 and 2009 they have been getting much more popular.

The Process: Affiliate Marketing is mainly about using the main 3 search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN to market to visitors using sponsored ads section of the search results.

Your job is to pick keywords, setup a landing page, track keywords, test landing page, test keywords, test traffic source and much more.

You want to spend money on buying keywords that a user would type looking for a certain product. Your going to spend let’s say $5-15 per keyword and find out if it’s converting well. You should spend max 1 x your offer payout.

You want to time length for your testing. Example, being one week. I want to run my campaign from Sunday to Saturday days Jan 1st to 7th.

You can monitor and edit things through the testing phase but you don’t want to make too big changes you don’t know what’s owrking and what’s not working.

In the end, you want to make sure you are spending let’s say $130 a day spending and making more then that. Making $200 or $300 from $130 is good money.

At $200 day gross spending $130/day that’s $490 profit a week with spending $910 a week. If you choose to pay with a credit card you can receive points and/or 5% cashback for more money.

Those are some of the best ways I know to make money. I’ll also be doing businesses for some of the things I mentioned above. I will report income reports on all my websites.
