One of my blog posts, yesterday was Learning Web Design. I was checking out some blogs and tutorials last night and it seems there is a vast amount of resources available. To simply learn web design on your own and provide the service to others.
Looking at yesterday’s post. I thought of What would be the best way to learn web design? I did a quick search on Google.
Here are some notes I came up with:
- Start by learning HTML and CSS.
Once you get better, you want to move onto more advanced web development areas. - Start learning Graphic Design & PHP Programming.
- Learning Graphic Design is the art of “doing”.
- A Portfolio and Personal Design Style is what lands you the job.
- Degree in Web Design is not needed, but can be helpful.
- I’d recommend creating a username on multiple web designing forums and start chatting with the community. I would also visit all posts and actively participate.
- Start offering forum members discounted prices for your beginner web design services.
- Pick something out on the web and try to copy the design by yourself to practice your skills.
- I would start reading tutorials on web design interface tutorials, web design layout tutorials. Depending on what things I would need created I would look up on buttons and boxes, etc. It may take a long time to create your first web design but it will become easier the more you practice.
